The Goldsboro YMCA aquatic facility plays host to countless camps and organizations during the summer. Our number one concern is to ensure the safety of all patrons that visit our pool. We are looking for responsible and diligent individuals who would like to assist in the observation of pool safety this summer. Shifts would last from 1-2 hours in length and volunteers would work along with our lifeguard staff to enforce pool rules while observing our in water camps. This position would require additional CPR training. (No lifeguard certification needed)

The Aquatics staff is looking for a self motivated individual who would like to help maintain our pool decks and pool floors. Thousands of members and guests use our aquatic facility weekly and that can leave behind a mess! This position would consist of sweeping the deck for loose trash as well as training on how to vacuum and sweep our pools. These jobs would take an average of 1-3 hours a week at your convenience.

Do you enjoy the water? Do you love to work with children ages 3-12? We have the perfect opportunity for you within our swim lesson program. The Aquatics Department is seeking outgoing individuals who would like to assist one of our trained instructors with our monthly swim lessons. Groups typically range between 4-6 children ages 3-5 or 6-12. Lessons are held on Monday & Wednesday evenings or Tuesday & Thursday evenings. We can provide both on site and online training to interested individuals. Help put an end to youth drowning. Here at the Y, you can be the solution!

To provide an enjoyable and safe sporting experience for an assigned group of athletes, while they learn individual and team games skills, sportsmanship and fair play. Responsibilities are to preside over team activities including all scheduled practices and games. SEASON BEGINS IN MARCH, AND ENDS MID-JUNE Practices are typically 1-2 times per week for 1 hour per day. It is up to the coach if he/she wants to practice twice a week. Practice time are as follows that they can choose from: SOCCER Monday – 5:30pm, 6:30pm Tuesday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm Wednesday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm Thursday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm T-BALL Monday – 5:30pm, 6:30pm Tuesday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm Wednesday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm Thursday - 5:30pm, 6:30pm Games are usually once or twice a week as well. Also, depending on what age they coach that team may travel for games inside the county. Games are played on the following days throughout the week at these possible times depending on their team’s schedule: SOCCER Monday – 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm Tuesday - 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm Thursday - 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm Saturday – 9am, 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm T-BALL Monday – 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm Tuesday - 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm Thursday - 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm
